Racking and Keg Tapping

After three weeks in the primary I racked the Black Butte XXII clone into the secondary and added two pasilla negra chiles and some cocoa nibs.  The sample came out with a gravity of 1.023 and tasted pretty good.   The target gravity on the recipe is 1.022 so I was right on with it, but I missed the original gravity by a fair margin so the alcohol content should be a couple of percentage points below the expected 10%.  However, I expect this one to turn out very nice.  One week (or so) in secondary and then about 5 months of aging.

I also finally got around to tapping the keg on the Black Butte Porter clone.  It's excellent!
